Why Does this Scrape Keep Burning?

I was at a drive in yesterday and my friends and I were playing football and i was running to catch the ball and I fell on a rough patch of grass and got a nice sized scrape on my knee. It wasnt even bleeding badly. It bled like one small drop. I used wipes and washed all the dirt out and then put antibiotic ointment on it, but it still hurt really bad the entire movie. I came home and poured hydrogen peroxide on it and then some burn stuff called bactine or something and put antibiotic ointment on it and covered it up with guaze. I went to bed without pain and woke up and it had a scab but it hurt and burned to move my leg. I treated it the same way but it still really hurts. I've had scrapes on my knee before, but they've never hurt this bad. What's wrong with it, and how can i numb the pain and treat it?

I do not think a parent who was really worried would even send their child to day care. so here's the story......Last year...maybe a year and a half ago, i injured my knee doing a leg workout for basketball but i don't have the luxury of going to a doctor to find out what it is. So i've kept playing basketball and now its starting to hinder my explosiveness. All i can say is that all of the pain is located at the bottom center of my knee cap or patella. My guess is that it is a moderate to severely strained patella tendon. However i do know its not a ruptured/torn patella tendon cause my patella is not all the way up into my thigh. I am still not sure if it is my patella, my ACL, or my Meniscus. i have looked at several pictures of the muscular/ skeletal anatomy of my left knee, and im still not sure that kind of injury it is. if anyone can help me.....please cuz im dyin here cuz basketball is something i wanna do for the rest of my God-given LIFE.

What's happened to my foot?

Well, I was on the laptop laying on my bed and all of a sudden this sharp pain came, very very strong and I started crying because it was really bad and I lifted my leg up and it hurt even more. I tried to turn it and i couldn't because of the amount of pain this was causing me. The bone in my ankle felt loose and it felt like my foot was coming of. the pain ran all the way up my left leg and into my knee and now my whole leg is hurting. I can walk on it but I can't bend it or put it in certain positions, it is very painful, what's happened to it?

Recently I was just assaulted at a gas station. I met up with some people there to talk about some drama that went on. Well, turns out they bring about 20 people. And one of the guys wanted to fight. Dog ate piece of raw meat packaging?

Yesterday I cooked some ground beef and threw the container in the trash. Just now when I was pulling the bag out of the can to take it out my dog (60 pound lab mix) reached inside and grabbed that little paper thing that is on the bottom of the meat package- it looks like a little towel thing to soak up the juice. I have this weird thing about eating at school?

My mom makes me sandwiches to eat at school, but I never eat them anymore. I haven't always been like this, it started when I was 13, so last year. Breathing issues or anxiety?

So yesterday, I got a little freaked out by a bug and bent my knees and squished my stomach very rapidly. Okay, my son will be three next month and we have been working on potty training for a while now and he is doing much better. A few months ago he discovered that his penis gets erect if he touches it, in the bathtub. He would say things like look mama, "It's long" or "It's big" or "It's hard." Fear of germs, is this OCD?

I'm not sure if what I have is OCD or not. I'm afraid of germs. I can't use anyone else's cups, plates, forks, knives, or spoons unless they're the disposable kind. I can't drink or eat after anyone. I can't eat unless my hands are washed. However, I'm fine eating fast food and at restaurants, though I know they must be a lot dirtier than someone's house. I just can't help it. I also can't sleep in another's person's bed or sheets because it grosses me out thinking about the last time they washed them or the germs on them. Is this any type of OCD or just me being irrational?

I think I may be O.C.D, and possibly paranoid.?

I've been focusing on things like this recently, and it has come to my attention that I seem likely to have O.C.D. The first instance of O.C.D like behavior I can remember is from when I was a little child. When I would ride in the car I would always look out the window, and watch the objects. Then I would count them. While others were talking to me during this I would count every word they said on the objects going past me and if their sentence didn't work out to be totally even I would break things up, clump things together, add in, or take out words. This really interfered with my listening, and by the time I noticed I was doing this it had been a few years and I found it difficult to stop. I still do this sometimes. Then once I had, for the most part, corrected this annoying error I began to grind my teeth to the syllables of things others said to me, and occasionally to what I said as well. Then began my germ phobia. It was completely unreasonable, and yet I still have it for the most part. I felt that everything was dirty, my own hands were always dirty, etc. If something were to compromise the cleanliness of a surface, even after it had been properly cleaned and relentlessly disinfected, I would feel that the germs were still there and it would, in my mind, render the object untouchable/unusable. I would wash my hands five or six times and always up to my elbows (sometimes higher) after little things like using the restroom, touching a remote control, touching a counter top, having used cleaning products on something, etc. Occasionally I find myself afraid of having picked up germs from an object I merely saw or considered touching, but did not so much as get near it. For a short period of time I found myself unwilling to touch my food, as I believed my hands would compromise the foods sanitation. So, I ate everything by picking it up with my mouth or a utensil such as a fork rather than my hands. This went even for potato chips or french fries; even a banana (very difficult). I eventually overcame this by washing my hands multiple times before I ate anything. I find I believe everything to be dirty. I re-wash dishes before I eat off of them even when I take them out of the dish drainer and they've only been washed moments before. Also, I am somewhat of a slob. But then I find after the room being messy only for a few minutes due to my slob habits that I go into mad Nazi-cleaning mode. I vacuum and dust and polish and organize and sort through and throw away. I even organize my clutter to be arranged in what I find to be a more appealing manor. As far as my personal hygiene, when I first get in the show I wash my hands with soap before I begin washing myself. Then after washing myself I was my hands with soap again. This keeps going on until I'm finished with my shower. This could just be my anger issues, but I get angry at myself for doing something wrong, even the slightest thing (for example, using an abbreviation that is for the most part useless), and find that I have a sort of compulsive need to fix the error, whatever it may be. This also comes in to play with my grammar, as I'm sure you have noticed. The slightest spelling mistakes make me freak out. Also, in a subject that I feel I'm right on, I absolutely REFUSE to allow someone to tell me otherwise. I am wholly unable to take criticism, even if it is constructive. Also, sometimes I feel a random need to get up and pace. I can pace for hours upon hours while not feeling like it has been more than five minutes. If for some reason I am unable to pace around I get this odd feeling, as though I literally need to be doing it, as though it were important and absolutely imperative that the task was performed. Also, as I'm sure of you have read, I have self-harmed (mostly in the past, I've been trying to quit) and each time I did so I always left three cuts/burns/bruises. Although this may not tie in here, as I created something for each to stand for (1: Punishment 2: Control 3: Clarity). Often times I find myself (unjustifiably) feeling absolutely superior to those around me. As though I can grasp things they cannot. In groups I feel that I have to be the one to do all the work as I'm the only one who can perform the task given correctly. I realize the others are capable of doing just as well as I, and possibly better, but I cannot help but feel otherwise. I also think I'm paranoid. This is due to the fact that on more occasion than one I've wondered whether or not someone was watching me; this occurs when I am completely alone. Sometimes I feel the need to correct my thoughts so that they might be appropriate in the event that anyone around me could somehow read minds. I also find when I'm at home I am extremely suspicious of my mother. She does not trust me and I find that I sometimes feel as though she may have installed cameras to watch me. I will admit to literally looking into things searching

I would give her the antibiotics, if she is having trouble breathing this cannot be comfortable or safe for her even if they don't work fully they may make it better for her. The back of my ankle hurts and is swollen, anyone tell me why?

So I have been on my feet a lot today, and I wore flip flops to work. Well when I got home I noticed that the back of my left foot hurt, like the achilles tendon area when I pointed my foot up or bent my knees. My right foot is fine. I then looked at my ankle and noticed on the outside of my foot between my tendon and my ankle bone it is swollen and puffy, not too bad but enough that you can tell. My tendon also still hurts and hurts when I rest it on the recliner or on my other leg. I do not remember bumping anything. I was on my feet a lot today at work because we were busy and I work in sales. I currently have an ice pack on it and will take an epsom salt bath a little later. Could this just be cause by being on my feet in flip flops? Or did I do something to my foot?

Are there the possibility of immunity to washing my face with bleach and water in the long term?

My doctor recommended I use Clorox Bleach and water to wash my face to prevent cellulitis twice a week for four weeks. The first week, that I stopped, I contracted cellulitis again. I'm wondering if I go back to bleaching my face, will the germs eventually become immune to the Clorox?

well its kinda hard to get rid of knee pain without medicine and i know that knee pain can hurt badly. i would say one option would be to ice it and just rest or just bluntly go to the doctors there are many different things that can go bad with your knees and if it hurts bad enough then you should take him in to make sure. i hope this helped :)

Help! having horrible back issues?

I threw my back out really bad during this snow storm at the begining of the year...i was out there for about two hours shoveling and i guess my back just had enough. I most likely picked up way to much and lifted the wrong way. I ended up falling to my knees in pain and couldn't get up for about ten minutes. After about a week of recovering i was back to normal but later on i kept having trouble lifting things...i basically haven't been able to lift heavy things for the past couple months. Now im to a point where im putting on pants or loading small things into the dishwasher and my back gets close to being thrown out...also all the pain is in my lower back and when i do throw it out my butt sort of goes numb and the pain sometimes shoots down my legs. Im only 21...heavy chested and i have a tummy but not big enough to the point my back is in this bad of shape. I managed to pick an awful doctor who wouldn't listen to what i had to say when i tried explaining and i will be getting a new doctor, but i was curious if anybody has the same problem or may know whats going on because its bad if i cant even get my pants on :(

Severe Knee Pain In Both Knees.?

I'm 14 and my knees ALWAYS hurt. When I squat or kneel, my knees pop really loud, and I can't sit crisscross apple-sauce for more than 3-4 minutes without a really bad pain in my knees! I also have trouble climbing up and down stairs, and running/standing for long periods of time. They have been hurting for about 11 months now, and I don't know what's wrong. No swelling, just severe pain! My dad has bad knees, and he has had to get surgery three times, but I don't know why. Could it be genes from my dad, or something else? Do I need to see a doctor? Should I wear a brace? PLEASE HELP ME!

I have trichotillomania (compulsive hair pulling), when I wash my hands I have to rinse the tap handle because of germs, I have to put tissue on the toilet seat, if I have to open a door and can't wash my hands I use the bottom or edge of the handle and sometimes wrap a piece of clothing around the handle so I don't touch it. Is my sister anorexic?

Hellooo :) I'm thinking my sister might be anorexic. It kinda freaks me out since I'm 13 and that kind of stuff really scares me. She's 17 years old, 5 foot 3, and I think she weighs 105 pounds. I'm pretty sure that's her weight, or around that weight, but she doesn't tell ANYONE her weight. I think that's what I heard the doctor say when I went with her for a physical, though. She weighs herself about 3 times per day and constantly looks in the mirror at her body shape. She is actually in really good shape! I wouldn't say she's underweight. She has a pretty flat stomach, almost a six pack. Her legs aren't skinny, nor are they fat. They look kind of muscular since she's a dancer. She always tells me to stop her from eating cookies and stuff, but it never really works. Like sometimes she tries to diet, but it's hard for her. But today she was lying on the couch with her elbows on her knees so that her stomach was hunched over so obviously there was a little "roll" out and my mom *playfully* says, "Look at that pooch" and playfully pokes her belly and my sister flipped out. She threw her phone at my mom's neck and started crying. Then my mom started crying. My sister has a glass and plastic phone and chucked it really hard at my mom. They have a REALLY bad relationship. Anywho, she clearly has some of the signs of anorexia (weighing herself obsessively, thinking she's fat when she clearly isn't, trying to diet, flipping out at a playful comment, not letting anyone know her weight) but then again, she doesn't obsessively diet either. Like just today, my sister and I had a large Pinkberry frozen yogurt with a bunch of toppings. Hahahah. She does eat kind of a lot, but she really isn't fat at all. I can understand where she's coming from, like I think I'm fat a lot of the time too. But I really am. But I don't obsess over it and weigh myself 200 times a day, I just try to exercise. My niece looks like she has bowed knees!?

Hey, never used this thing before but yeah, I'm just wondering to ask a question to see if anyone knows of any problem alike. My four-year-old niece has two main problems and shes had them for about 6 months now. Like any normal child she has nightmares, but its every night and she starts crying for about 10 minutes but shes of course still asleep. And the second problem which is a bit worrying is her knees. For a four year old she is quite tall and very skinny, which is like her mom, but since she was really really little, her kneecaps have always stood out. Like they seem swollen and oddly shaped, like she has bowed knees but we never forced her to walk and they stick out more as shes getting older. Some days they will stick out to the side and shes slower than other children. My sisters gone to a children's hospital and the doctor there couldn't say what it was either. He recognized that she was slower than other children and takes her a long time to get up and sit down. But this wa about two months ago and the doctor said they would get back in contact with her so she could see a specialist in the leg area. Don't worry if you don't know what the problem is either, but if you have any suggestions would be good. Were not too worried atm, because shes young and is still growing! Large, red, and itchy spot on the inside of my right leg, next to my knee.?

Ok, here is what happened. About 2 weeks ago my boyfriend and I were having sex and he drug his teeth across the spot where the rash is now. A little bit later that night I noticed there was a red line, about 2 inches long by 1/2 inch wide where he bit me, I wasn't too worried about it then thinking it was just red. But now the area has grown to about 2 inches in diameter into a nice red, itchy circle. The center area has a few raised bumps that are now flaking and Very, Very itchy. Why is it that when i bend down my knee gives in and its hard to stand back up? i can't bend it or anything.?

Im only 14 and I've taken in consideration with growing pains or whatever but its been off and on every week or so. Its also been pretty bad for the last couple of days. I can't really bend it or move it at all without pain. Im very athletic and im going into high school soon so i'll be signing up for track and i'm worried that maybe when i start running i might pull something. How to get over my OCD of taking showers?

Would you say am depressed?

I feed sad every now and then. Sometimes i wish i didn't exist and i over-think situations and sometimes become sad... When in the public i tend to 'be' happy and joyful, but alone am quiet and so tried. I have trouble sleeping. I sleep late and wake up early and i try not to sleep again until 10pm but end up awake on my bed thinking about situations and other stuff. I usually stay awake till past 12am. i cry at things 'normal' people wouldn't and i don't cry when others do. (e.g someone pushed me onto a brick wall and i got a deep scar on my hand and a fat bruise on my knees - i just got teary and smiled) i dont know am usually so energetic when it comes to goin outside but when with my family or home am the opposite. i dont plan to kill myself or anything i appreciate life but i just question why i existed the first place.

For those who believe Jesus is God?

This question is brought on by another question I saw. Why did Jesus pray to God? Why did he say upon his death, My God, why have you forsaken me? Why in Mark 10:18 and Luke 18:19 does Jesus correct the man who called him "good" and said the only one who is good is God? I'm sure there are more examples. Why everytime I sit down my legs from the knee down go completely numb?

Okay... This was my third time taking this test. I got a 60 the other two times. I have no idea if I passed. I am sooo worried. Say I got 26 multiple choice questions right out of 50, and almost all the short answer questions right. I think I did decent on the DBQ essay, maybe a 3. For the thematic essay I wrote about the printing press and chemical pesticides. I didn't really write much about the printing press and I think I wrote some info that's not correct. For the chemical pesticides I wrote about how they spray it on stuff like fruits to get rid of germs. I used peach as an example. I said that the reason peach has soft skin is because they use the chemical pesticides to penetrate into it to get rid of bacteria. I also said that it's harmful to your health because of the chemicals but if they don't spray on it then the fruit may get spoiled and the government will lose money since people won't buy them. So is this good enough for a 65? I am so worried about. Thanks in advance.

I think it might just be a polite thing to do, and I honestly do not know how that got started. You know how society has some "rules" about what men do to be polite. I am thinking about going to this school called St. Philips Academy in Newark, NJ. It goes from kindergarten to eighth grade, and it's a private school. Am I missing out on my teenage years?

Well, as some may know, I'm 15 years old. But I rarely talk to other teens my age. Cause I think that most teens these days are nothing more then mindless sheep. and I always feel like I don't fit in, cause most teens listing to pop and rap music, I listing to heavy metal Death Metal punk Rock hard rock and Gothic rock. And most teens now days all wear the same thing like skinny jeans or have their pants down to their knees, I always wear black or blue cloths. I actually would not use it at all. I have 3 rabbits, 3 mice and 2 hamsters and we use mouse/rabbit bedding not hay. We use the hay for the rabbits litter box or a treat and I don't think that would be very comfortable for the mouse. At pretty much every pet shop there is mouse/rabbit bedding so i would just get that. It is ok for the environment and creates less dust. Most bedding and hay will make your mouse sneeze which will lead to respiratory infection so i would get the bedding it is used for All kinds of animals.

The real lesson to be learned from the new testament is that when you claim to be God you get crucified. Noone since has claimed that they were God successfully. So, many christians get many lessons from the Bible wrong. Such as, they will claim that the Jews Killed Jesus. When it was the Romans that did it. They claim that Jesus was perfect. Bird died mysteriously until we found out what might have been the cause, could this be it?

So for mothers day we got my mom a pair of parakeets that were on special at petco, one survived while the other died. We made jokes that one killed the other cause they got in a fight over who's colors are better. But we had to throw him out. We didn't inspect the body because that is germ city and birds are infamously known for flu and other types of diseases. So the other day I do this on a normal sunny day in california basis, I hang my bird in the front of my house. So I am chilling waiting for my dog to pee since I took him out to pee on the grass cause he was whinning. And A FREAKING OVER SIZED fatty cat comes falling out of a tree and i'm like you MOTHER-F word and I chased it down. Keep in mind I hate cats, especially strays. So this made me angry as hell. Me and my look each other in the eyes and said now we know what killed our bird. Cats are smart and I wouldn't doubt that one of them tried to kill the bird or open the cage but couldn't so he shook it or scratched the cage and harmed my bird therefore leading to his death. Sadly I can't take out my bird until later when my backyard trees come out and my puppy protects it. ;) but I was wondering if there is no sign or entry or the birds being loose is possible a cat could of shook/scratched and clawed my bird to death?

What happened to my knee?

About a week ago I was playing tennis and doing my morning workout. But after that day, I notice pain on my right knee. I have never had this pain on my knee before. Whenever I bend my leg, my knee feels like I'm stretching it and feel like it can snap. I'm sorry it's difficult to explain. Do I have this pain because I didn't warm up on that day before my workout? or maybe I just took a wrong step while playing tennis? I don't think I broke my knee but maybe a sprain? How to deal with rude/ mean coaches?

I've had asshole coaches in the last couple of years and the only reason why I didnt ***** them out was because I would probably lose my shot at varsity baseball for the future. If u dont see yourself moving on and achieving anything in the sport definitely just go and cuss out your coach I've always wanted to do it and still regret it. Remember you can always find a better team that's more fun or a better sport

Im 14 year old girl. And my family is extremely religious. I can't wear shorts, any thing above the knees, anything that revelies my chest or back. I can't hangout with guys or text guys. I can't date. My parents don't really trust me. I don't read the Bible when home only when I'm at church. How often should I read it? My mom says morning and night? How often should I pray? hi i am 13 year old boy. all my life i have a been a chubby kid and my parents would all ways make fun of me for it. when i was a little kid they would make me want to run to my room and cry. it wasn't till i was 9 i started getting dangourasly obese. when my parents made fun of me i would always turn to food for comfort. now i am 5'4 and 406 pounds. i currently have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and my heart is not beating normally. even now my parents still make fun of my weight. like last week i decided to relax in my hot tub and my mom saw me shirtless and said "jeez, you have bigger boobs than me, do we need to get you a bra." to be honest my 17 year older sister (who is skinny) has been the only person in my family who has never made fun of me and when my parents make fun of me she is always there to say "dont listen to them" and says "i still love you just the way you are." since my parents always call me fat i decided a good way to rebel was to keep eating. so for the past year i have been going to fast food restaurants 2-3 times a day. like yesterday i ate 2 large pizzas, a big mac, and 3 tacos right in front of my parents. after all of that i was full but i pushed my self to eat a whole box of twinkies and a family sized bag of dorritos when i was done i could see the anger in my parents eyes. i took of my shirt so my parents could see my weight gain progress and i started playing with my moobs and saying how mine are nice and big and hers are small and nasty it really hurt her feelings. now i dont so much eat out of revenge now i eat out of pleasure. i am addicted to food and i cant stop. i know what im doing is bad for my health but i cant stop my self from eating large amounts of food. its gotten to the point were i can barely walk anymore, and when a take only a few steps i get this raging pain in my knees. how can i stop my addiction.

Is it sanitary or legal to hand wash dishes at a restaurant?

I work as a dishwasher at a restaurant. Last week the dishwasher broke, and is in the process of getting fixed. But it is taking forever!!! We now have to hand wash dishes, which really sucks. But I was talking to my mom, and she doesn't think it's legal or sanitary. I use the hottest water possible, but I know it's not hot enough to kill germs. So what do you guys think? I think it's a very respectful view of Muslims being spiritual people, however I am Muslim so I choose to follow those pillars.
